The Son sat on his heavenly throne
At the right hand of The Father
The earth below let out a groan
With obedience the people didn’t bother

The Father looked at His Son
And with a solemn face
Said, “You know what must be done
To show my mercy and grace.”

The Son nodded and gladly stepped down
Passing through the stars He helped to create
The angels watched as He shed his crown
Knowing His mission and fate

The Son of God now the Son of Man
A fragile baby in a bed of hay
This is where it all began
With a gift we can never repay
