Facing the Giant

The giant stands on the horizon
The mountain stands tall
Fear grips my heart

Why is this happening, Lord?
Have I done something wrong?
I have loved You as best I can

I take a deep breath
And lift my eyes to heaven
Remembering His words

The fear is not gone
The obstacle is not smaller
The giant still looms before me

However, my God is bigger
And He gives me strength
I will face my trials
With Him by my side

Holli’s Notes: I was approaching surgery when I wrote this, and I was terrified. I was attempting to put my feelings on paper and clear my head.
