Impressions

You see them everyday
Friends, enemies, people inbetween
Some with stories you know
Others with secrets deep

Their eyes are always open
They watch you living life
Listening to your words
Evaluating your every move

They’re looking for a change
Something different in you
A hope they don’t have
An unshakable trust in God

But what are they seeing?
What comes through?
A person who walks the walk?
Or simply talks the talk?

Every face has a heart
From your spouse to the cashier
They all walk away with an impression
So which one are you leaving behind?

Composition Date: September 4th, 2010

Holli’s Notes:
I wanted to explore the impact that we have on every person we meet as Christians and how that can change their opinions, both for the good and the bad, of the faith.
