Mother of God

As you hold your child
Can you even comprehend
Who it is you have
You are the mother of God

Do you know the things He’ll do
The things that He will say
Can you imagine His life
His message, His terrible death

Your son will change the world
He will turn it upside down
This child you hold now
Can you see the plan

What would you do
What would you say
If you knew the pain He’ll feel
If you knew the sorrow you’ll see

Jesus will suffer and die
But He will rise again
Jesus will save everyone who believes
Your infant son will even save you
