New Psong

Sing to the Lord a new song
Raise your voice to heaven
Sing to the Lord, all the earth
Every nation praise Him
Worship the Lord with gladness
Clap your hands and dance
Come before him with joyful songs
Offer Him your heart
Make music to the Lord with the harp
Pick up your instruments
With the harp and the sound of singing
Lift up a joyous noise
I will sing of your love and justice
All Your ways are perfect
To you, O Lord, I will sing praise
You are most worthy
Come, let us bow down in worship
We adore and fear You, God
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker
Our Father and Savior together
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness
Pure as snow and extravagant in love
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
All good things come from You
Extol him with music and song
Glorify Him with praise
Sing to the Lord a new song
Raise your voice to heaven
For he has done marvelous things
We are amazed at Your power, O Lord
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth

Holli’s Notes:
Every other line of this poem was drawn from a Psalm (95, 96, 98, 100, or 101). Think of it as a scavenger hunt if you’d like to find them. I noticed as we got to these Psalms that they served as a way to worship and praise the Lord, so I decided to pull some of that out to use in my poetry. It is the ultimate goal to use these words to glorify and give love to my God and my Savior.
