Plea

Desperation drives me to my knees
Where have You gone, Lord?

Please show Your face to me
Why are You silent, Lord?

I pray for peace in my soul
When will You answer, Lord?

The absence of You brings sorrow
Do You feel my pain, Lord?

Earnestly I beg for mercy
Can You hear me, Lord?

My heart is faint and weary
Will You hurry, Lord?

Forever I will watch for You
Where have You gone, Lord?

Composition Date: April 8th, 2009

Holli’s Notes:
This was another attempt at a Psalm-like poem.
