Refresh Me

O Lord how I struggle
To meet life’s demands
While walking Your path
And keeping commands

My attention divided
Husband, kids and church too
Always my mind is racing
So much to tend to

I need Your living water
So that I will cease to thirst
The bread of life to fill me
Hunger no longer a curse

Refresh me Lord in every way
With Your Word I can’t go wrong
Through fellowship and messages
Through quiet time and song

At last my strength returns
From the only place it can
My hunger and thirst are gone
I have the will to stand

Composition Date: July 28th, 2009

Holli’s Notes:
I am in need of a drink from the Word lately, as are some others I know. I tried to express how I feel now and how I hope to feel when I finally get that nourishment from God.
