Scarred

Sin and disobedience
Mistakes and shame
My past forever haunts me
I am scarred

Anger and distrust
Doctrine and policy
Yet another division
Our church is scarred

Turmoil and disagreement
Scandal and disgrace
We keep falling away
Our country is scarred

Poverty and hunger
Oppression and war
In need of the Good News
Our world is scarred

Hands and feet
Head and side
Bearing our sin on the cross
He is scarred

Composition Date: March 31st, 2010

Holli’s Notes:
Scars are everywhere. We often try to hide them, but they are there. The awesome thing about scars is that 2000 years ago they saved us from our sin.
