The Gray

The world is far from black and white
Every day that’s plain to see
We find ourselves in situations
With no clear answers that come from Thee

The Bible offers wisdom
For many things that we will face
But soon we find those other times
When that is not the case

God has not spelled out rules
For all we do and say
So what exactly should we do
When we find the area is gray

The beauty of the Lord
Is that he’s given us
A trusted friend for those times
We’re not sure what’s fair or just

The Holy Spirit speaks within
That still small voice you know
To help us clear away the gray
And see which way to go

If you listen carefully
And God’s hold on you is strong
The Spirit will give you what you need
He will never lead you wrong

Holli’s Notes:
This was inspired by one of my pastor’s messages recently. He talked about how so many things are left up to our free choice, granted by God, and we need to tune in to our guiding voice to find the right answers when they aren’t black and white.
